crazy days

ahhh. finally more than 10 minutes to sit down and not feel guilty that i'm behind on readings. I'm actually just a tid bit ahead as half of tomorrow's reading is done and i have a few pages left to finish for tomorrow before bed but right now i'm taking some TV time for my shows. im just gunna do a random recap before i dive back into regularly scheduled blogging with normal content.

school is school. my big writing stuff is done and i just have to get the oral argument end of the competition over with, hopefully this weekend. i know it is really crappy to say that i won't really mind getting eliminated on saturday. i mean, of course it would be nice to go further in the competition, but at the same time, it would be a huge chunk off of my plate it if were just over and done with and be able to focus on regular classes and applying to internships / jobs for the summer. i have about 3 applications due friday. i've narrowed down the search of what i'd like to do this summer. I am really really hoping to get a fellowship sponsored by Verizon that would place me in one of 6 internships from 6 different organizations that work within the field of domestic violence. the other job i'm hoping for is an internship with the public defender's office in the office of the law guardian -- which are the people who represent the children in any kind of dispute. i am hoping if i get that i will be able to get some public interest fellowship money and have some kind of income this summer.

my parents are redoing the main bathroom so its down to studs and i'm sharing their bathroom with them for the last week for another 2 weeks or so. it's pretty damn funny when i stumble through their bedroom in the daark to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

i think i may have seriously sprained my wrist or something and i have no idea how. that or i am getting carpal tunnel and it sucks. my wrist is in pain almost the entire day and makes random pops and crack sounds. the only good thing is knowing that all of the websites have numbness in your fingers as a major symptom of carpal tunnel and i definitely do not have that, which is good. haha

the situation with my gram is status quo. she is in her house, and an aide started going there today from 10 - 5. all of the plans for assisted living were in effect and everything, but when she found out she threw a fit and was off the wall for days. its hard to explain. today went very well. we shall see. my dad said if this doesnt work she is going to assisted living whether she likes it or not. that's all i really have to say about it right now. i can no longer focus on what should or could be and only go day to day of what is.

we are totally in baby fever at my house. i think every conversation refers back to Beansie/ (have i told that story yet?) I read online about how big the baby is at this point and stuff, and it said that this week the baby is becoming a boy or a girl, (well i guess genetically its been decided since conception) but apparently its actually becoming a girl or boy BABY right now. everyone (with the exception of my brother and SIL) know i want a girl. dont get me wrong i'd love a nephew, but seriously, i would absolutely DIE over the preciousness of a niece. my current obsession is planning out the quilt i am making the baby. regardless, my future niece/nephew is providing me with ample distractions from the real world and i am totally okay with that!

Friday is my birthday. i'm having dinner with my family at home, saturday afternoon i have my oral argument, and saturday evening i am going out with all of my friends to hoboken. One of the bars is having 80s night, and my friends and i are getting totally decked out. then i will plan to get a bit wasted. it is going to be a fun night, i know it.
